Task 3: Create an image based writing activity using PicLit

The activity that I designed is related to art. The students can choose any quote from a book or a film they like and create an image with that quote on it. By creating this Piclit the students can use their imagination and produce the image by using real English words.

The example that I created has a quote written by Terry Prachet and, in my opinion, promotes reading and being imaginative as a part of our education life.

Task 2: Create a set of worksheets (4 minimum) for A2 level students

Vocabulary: This first activity is vocabulary of Christmas for A2 learners of English. In this activity they have to connect the image to its correspondent word. In this way, it is more visual and easier for them to understand. The key objective is to introduce a common festivity with the cultural differences that exist between the English speaking countries and our culture.

Grammar: In the next exercises our students will deal with grammar by practising the present perfect. This will be devoted to A2 students, so, we assume that they have been reviewing the previous grammar and they are well prepared to construct some Have you ever...? questions.

Game: After a little introduction, our students will be able to answer some questions about the Christmas celebrations in a dinamic way. We will divide our A2 learners of English in groups of five for playing this game and the winner will have some Christmas cookies as a prize. In this way, we will review all the vocabulary studied in the unit and we can even introduce some new words.

Writing: our students will have to create a twisted children's christmas story by using the vocabulary, connectors and openers we give as an ideas to follow. In this worksheet we present the a scheme to fulfill before creating the story, so in this way, everything will be clear and the task can end up being a great writing for us to evaluate the process of learning.

Task 1: summary of the legal framework of the use of ICT in the ESO

As established in the curriculo for ESO, when talking about cross curricular topics our students must develop awareness of reading, oral and written comprehension, audiovisual communication, and information and communication technologies among other important elements. Besides, in both ESO and Bachillerato are included some curricular elements related to exploitation, sexual abuse and the great number of risks that involve the wrong use of these new information and communication technologies. In this way, they need to acquire a basic training in ICT in order to learn in a critical way.
Task 4: Creating an image speaking activity using Voicethread

Following this task, our students will know more about the history behind the mask tradition in Venetia. There is recorded a piece of this whole history inside every image, so the point is that after listening to it, our students deal with some discussion questions to be answered in class orally. In this way, our students practice speaking and discussing ideas which is one of the most important aspects when learning a language.
